Summer Advisors Program
Upon joining Dow Lohnes, each summer associate is assigned an associate attorney who serves as an advisor to the summer associate. The attorney advisor acts generally as a mentor, offering guidance and insight about Dow Lohnes. Each summer advisor meets weekly with his or her advisee to answer any questions that the summer associate may have about his or her work projects, firm culture, or any other area of interest. The attorney advisors also are available to facilitate introductions among the summer associates and other Dow Lohnes attorneys by, for example, arranging lunches between summer associates and other attorneys the advisees wish to get to know better. The advisor program has been very successful over the years and is a contributing factor to the success of our summer program.

“An associate advisor is an extension of the firm’s commitment to a summer associate. The advisor takes a direct interest in, and serves as a valuable and dedicated resource to, a summer associate. The advisor’s overriding goal is to help a summer associate maximize his/her summer experience at Dow Lohnes and get exposure to the inner workings of the firm.”
