Lateral Attorney Recruiting

We recognize that much of our growth at Dow Lohnes is accomplished through the hiring of new attorneys directly from law schools and clerkships. But that has never been the exclusive source of new lawyers for the firm. In fact, we frequently hire lateral attorneys with experience, and many of our current partners and associates joined the firm through that process. Dow Lohnes hires lateral attorneys directly into specific practice groups where these experienced lawyers hit the ground running and begin to handle client projects directly.

We also recognize that a lateral move is a significant decision for a lawyer switching firms, leaving a government or in-house position, or rejoining the workforce after time with family or other experiences. We take time to consider carefully the right position for each lateral candidate to ensure the potential for advancement and integration with the rest of the Dow Lohnes team.
