ERISA Attorney/Senior Compliance Specialist

Dow Lohnes, PLLC is seeking candidate, preferably a J.D., who will play a key role in the Compensation, Employee Relations and Benefits group in Washington, D.C. Individual will focus on tax qualified retirement plans and related IRS filings. Ideal candidate will have significant employment history with the IRS dealing with tax-qualified retirement benefit plans, including submissions to the IRS for determination letters, as well as drafting/revising retirement plan documents and related documents. Must be well versed in federal laws pertaining to retirement plans as well as sources of compliance guidance including but not limited to guidance issued by the IRS, DOL and PBGC. The candidate should possess well-developed communication and writing skills, both technical (for document drafting) and creative (for communication materials) and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously. This non-partnership track position offers competitive compensation based on experience, a flexible work environment, training and benefits.
